Applicants to the Master of Science in Management are required to have earned a bachelor's degree or the equivalent and to acheive an acceptable score on the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT). Foreign students whose native language is not English are required to take the TOEFL.exam.
A Word about the Undergraduate Degree
Applicants to the MSM program come from varied backgrounds. Many hold undergraduate degrees in management or in technical areas such as computer science or engineering while others have degrees in the liberal arts or basic science.
In evaluating applicants to the program, we focus primarily on academic performance at the undergraduate level with less emphasis placed on the discipline in which the degree was earned.
The GMAT
Applicants to the MSM who do not hold an advanced degree (master's or doctorate in any field) from a US or Canada-based accredited program are required to take the GMAT.
You can learn more about the GMAT at www.mba.com and www.ets.org.
Supplemental Criteria
Supplemental criteria are optional, but if provided, they are used in admissions decisions. These criteria include up to three letters of recommendation, a personal statement, and an applicant's years and quality of work experience.
