Applicants to the MBA are required to have earned a bachelor's degree or the equivalent and to achieve an acceptable score on the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT). Foreign students whose native language is not English are required to take the TOEFL exam
Supplemental Criteria
Supplemental criteria are optional, but if provided, they are used in admissions decisions. These criteria include up to three letters of recommendation, a personal statement, and years and quality of work experience.
A Word about the Undergraduate Degree
Applicants to the MBA program come from varied backgrounds. Many hold undergraduate degrees in management or in technical areas such as computer science or engineering while others have hold degrees in the liberal arts.
In evaluating applicants to the program, we focus primarily on academic performance at the undergraduate level with much less emphasis placed on the discipline in which the degree was earned.
A Word About the GMAT
Applicants to the MBA who do not hold an advanced degree (master's or doctorate in any field) are required to take the GMAT. We urge applicants who have been out of school for a while to prepare for the GMAT before sitting for the exam.
You can learn more about the GMAT at www.mba.com and www.ets.org.
