Tuition and Class Schedule

Tuition and Fees

The total cost of the Executive MBA program is  $47,500 including tuition and all fees, books,  meals, and a week-long trip to Washington D.C. for the first course of the program on public policy.  Program fees are also used to subsidize the optional International Study Tour so that students can participate in this valuable learning experience at a reduced cost.

A Class Schedule Tailored to the Needs of Working Professionals

The Executive MBA is an 18-month accelerated program offering classes on Saturdays only.  The delivery mode employs a "blended" learning method with two courses running concurrently (half days each) over 10 Saturdays; during the 10 weeks, 3 sessions are delivered in e-learning format.  During the e-learning sessions, candidates will tackle projects tied to their professions, engage in online discussion and obtain feedback from each other and their professors.  Essentially, we define blended learning as a mixture of face-to-face classes, online interaction, and directed study as we recognize that there is a considerable difference between contact hours and quality contact hours.  While the most common EMBA schedule is 5 full-day classes spanning five weeks (alternate Fridays and Saturdays), our extensive experience using learning technologies led us to blended learning as as a more effective model.

A new cohort begins each September with a course in "Business, Technology, and the Public Policy Process" taught at the Washington Campus in Washington D.C. followed with intensive study (on NJIT's campus) in fundamental business areas such as finance, accounting, business research methods and statistics so that every student begins the program with a solid foundation in business concepts. Incoming students should arrange to be available for the entire week-long course.  Students must also be available to participate in the International Study Tour which takes place during the third semester of the program; this tour typically spans 7-10 business days.
